Privacy statement
Trust and safety are the basis of our work. This statement describes which personal data we process, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have.
Who processes your data
Spira Centrum (VOF), registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 99011018, is the controller for the data described on this page. You can reach us at info@spiracentrum.nl.
Data about clients and families
To provide appropriate treatment we need information about the child, the family and the professionals involved. This includes contact details, information about the child’s development and functioning, and health data.
Health data is a special category of personal data. We process it only where it is necessary for the care we provide, or on the basis of your explicit consent. Before treatment begins we record what you are consenting to, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
We do not collect more data than necessary and do not keep it longer than needed. Statutory retention periods apply to care records. Our staff are bound by a duty of confidentiality.
We do not share data with third parties unless we are legally required to or you have given consent. Where we coordinate with a school, municipality or other care provider, that happens with your knowledge.

This website
This website has deliberately been kept as simple as possible.
No cookies. We set no cookies, not even functional ones. That is also why you see no cookie banner: there is nothing to choose.
No trackers and no external services. The website loads files only from our own server. No fonts, scripts, maps, videos or buttons from other parties are loaded. Your visit is therefore not shared with Google, Meta or any advertising network.
No visitor analytics. We do not use Google Analytics or any comparable service.
Server logs. Our web server keeps technical logs so that faults and abuse can be identified. These contain the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser type. An IP address is personal data. We use these logs only for security and administration, on the basis of our legitimate interest, and delete them after at most seven days.
Contact by email. This website has no contact form. If you email us, we process your message and email address in order to answer your question. Please do not send us medical details by email; we discuss those at the intake, in a setting suited to it.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to processing, ask for it to be restricted, or ask for your data to be transferred.
To exercise any of these rights, send a message to info@spiracentrum.nl. We respond within the statutory period.
Questions or a complaint
If you have a question about how we handle your data, or you disagree with something, please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it together, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security and data breaches
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data. This website is only reachable over a secure connection. In the unlikely event of a data breach we follow our internal procedure and report it, where required, to the Dutch Data Protection Authority and to those affected.
