Quality
Quality is not a separate chapter for us but the way we work. This page sets out what we mean by it and how we make it verifiable.
Justified methods
Our interventions are based on what demonstrably works and are matched to the child's developmental level and context.
Measurable goals
Goals are set with the family, recorded in writing and evaluated periodically. That makes it visible what the treatment achieves.
A fixed improvement cycle
What does not work we change, and what we learn we carry into the next trajectory. Plan, do, check, act.
Our quality framework
Spira Centrum is building its quality system along HKZ principles. That means we work with documented processes, that we think in terms of risk, and that improvement has a fixed place in how the organisation runs rather than being an annual exercise.
We are a young organisation. We therefore do not claim to be certified, but that we apply this framework and are following the route towards it. We are happy to explain where we stand.
Risk inventory and evaluation
We work with a risk inventory and evaluation (RI&E). This systematically maps the risks to the health and safety of staff and to the continuity of care, and the measures that go with them.
The findings are translated into action plans with an owner, a deadline and an evaluation moment. The RI&E is updated periodically and discussed in team meetings and supervision.
Documentation and evaluation
For every child there is an individual treatment plan with goals concrete enough to judge whether the treatment is working. Progress is recorded and evaluated at set moments with the family, and where applicable with the school and the referrer.
On completion a closing report follows. At the referrer’s request we report in the interim, with the family’s consent.
Data protection
We process data about children and families, including health data. For that we have a privacy policy and a processing register, and our staff are bound by a duty of confidentiality. How we handle this is set out in our privacy statement.
